Wings X presentation

Hi everyone,
the new presentation of Wings X is of excellent quality and also very fast in creation.
Kudos to Christoph Hilger for a great job of having a presentation that works on both Mac and Windows.
But I have to point out 2 small things that are missing to make it perfect like the EXE files of previous versions of Wings.
When starting the presentation on slightly less performing computers you see the Wings X screen, it's not a serious problem but it's not aesthetically pleasing.
And then at the end of the view it does not close automatically and a screen remains on the screen to be closed manually.
These are not serious things but for a perfect presentation as could be programmed in Wings 7 and earlier, these small options are missing.
Best regards!
Daniele

Hi Daniele,

thank you very much for your positive feedback! :-) The topic you are addressing here has already been dealt with in the following (german language) thread: viewtopic.php?t=792
In that thread I made a proposal concerning the termination of Wings X presentations via marker, but nobody replied to that, so I put the implementation on hold. It is no problem to implement termination of a presentation via marker or also an automatic termination at the end of a presentation. If we agree on the type of marker, I can implement it immediately. Also the automatic termination at the end can be implemented right now, if there are no objections...

Concerning the short screen appeareance in the beginning I will do some tests in order to optimize that behaviour.

Best regards from Upper Austria and have a nice weekend!
Christoph HIlger

Hi Christoph,

I read the post you indicated to me and I think that the simplest and most coherent thing with the behavior of the current startup files is to automatically close the presentation which is started from "Presentation-Autostart-Monitor-1 2 or 3 ".
Instead the "Presentation-Control-Start" file which manually controls the start, pause and stop of the presentation can remain as it is now or perhaps add a button that causes the presentation and command window to close completely.
Good weekend!
Daniele
